Important Notice

By making a payment on Hectares.ai, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Payment Terms. This policy is designed to ensure fair and transparent transactions for all users.

Payment Processing

All payments on Hectares.ai are processed securely through Stripe, Inc., a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards with credit card functionality
  • ACH bank transfers (for enterprise accounts)
  • Wire transfers (for annual plans over $10,000)

Subscription Terms

Billing Cycles

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Billing occurs on the same day each month/year as your initial purchase
  • Annual plans receive a 20% discount compared to monthly billing
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified

Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will send a reminder email 3 days before renewal for monthly plans and 7 days for annual plans.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our pricing. If we change your subscription price, we will notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Refund Policy

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

New customers are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of their initial purchase if they are not satisfied with our service. This guarantee applies only to first-time purchases and does not apply to renewals.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Within 7 days of initial purchase (first-time customers only)
  • Service outages exceeding our Service Level Agreement (pro-rated)
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Account termination due to platform changes that materially affect your use

Non-Refundable Items

The following are NOT eligible for refunds:

  • Partial month/year subscription fees after the 7-day period
  • Services already rendered or consumed
  • Cancellations made after the 7-day guarantee period
  • Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
  • Custom development or consulting services
  • Third-party integration or API usage fees

Dispute Resolution & Chargeback Policy

Important: Contact Us First

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company, please contact our support team atsupport@hectares.ai. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

Consequences of Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback instead of requesting a refund directly may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account and all associated services
  • Loss of access to your projects and data
  • Prohibition from future use of Hectares.ai services
  • Reporting to chargeback monitoring services
  • Collection proceedings for any outstanding amounts

Fraudulent Chargebacks

We actively contest all fraudulent chargebacks and maintain detailed records of all transactions, including: IP addresses, usage logs, email communications, and service delivery confirmations. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action.

Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period.

Effects of Cancellation

  • You retain access until the end of your paid billing period
  • No refunds for partial periods (except within 7-day guarantee)
  • Your data remains available for 30 days after cancellation
  • After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted
  • You can reactivate your account within the 30-day grace period

Downgrading

Instead of canceling, you may downgrade to our free tier, which allows you to maintain 2 projects and retain access to your account indefinitely.

Failed Payments

If your payment fails, we will attempt to process it again according to the following schedule:

  1. First retry: 3 days after initial failure
  2. Second retry: 5 days after first retry
  3. Final retry: 5 days after second retry

If all payment attempts fail, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. You can update your payment method at any time to restore full access.

Tax Responsibility

Prices displayed on Hectares.ai do not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for all applicable federal, state, local, and foreign taxes associated with your purchase. If we are required to collect taxes, they will be shown separately on your invoice.
